Conference organized by the Teodora Cristea Center for Research

On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, the Teodora Cristea Center for Research in Literature and Applied Linguistics, affiliated to ASE`s Faculty of International Business and Economics, organizes the conference entitled "Teaching Romanian as a Foreign language", delivered by PhD Assoc. The Bucharest University of Economic Studies has become an academic member of the European Banking Institute (EBI)

Starting December 2016, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, represented by its Faculty of Finance and Banking, became an academic member of the European Banking Institute (EBI). PhD Prof. Ciprian Necula from the Department of Money and Banking, Director of The Center for Advanced Research in Finance and Banking - CARFIB, is ASE’s representative in the EBI Academic Board. January 15 - National Culture Day and the Day of the Romanian National Poet, Mihai Eminescu

The Romanian National Culture Day, celebrated each year on January 15, coincides with the 167th anniversary of the birth of the Romanian national poet, Mihai Eminescu. On this occasion, a series of artistic events are organized in Romania and abroad, by the Romanian Cultural Institute, so as to highlight the role of national values in the development of Romanian culture.

Official opening of the American Studies Center in ASE

24 January - Union of the Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia

Ever since 1859, on January 24 Romanians celebrate the Union of the Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia, under the rule of Alexandru Ioan Cuza. This event paved the way to the establishment of modern Romania in 1918.

Free of charge railway transportation for students in Romania

Starting February 1, 2017, Romanian and foreign students enrolled in public or private higher education study programs benefit from free of charge railway transportation on the territory of Romania. This benefit is provided for full time Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral students, it covers second class railway tickets and is valid throughout the year 2017.

Strategic partnership between ASE and FRF
On Thursday February 9, 2017, ASE`s Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and the President of the Romanian Football Federation - FRF, Mr. Razvan Burleanu, signed a strategic partnership agreement between the two institutions. The event was attended by students, academic staff members, FRF representatives, sports personalities, mass media representatives.
In conformity with this agreement, ASE will organize a Master`s program in Sports Management starting with 2018, as well as various continuing professional development courses for sport club managers, press officers, stadium security officers, team managers. FRF will provide internship and volunteering programs and private scholarships for ASE`s students and will support various scientific activites. Photo gallery... 

Partenership agreement between ASE and the most prestigious tourism and hospitality school in Switzerland

On February 16, 2017, ASE`s Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, and Prof. Michel Rochat, CEO of the most prestigious tourism and hospitality school in Europe, headquartered in Lausanne, signed the Partnership agreement between our institutions. February 19 - The Brancusi Day
February 19 has been proclaimed a national holiday in Romania, to celebrate 141 years since the birth of the great sculptor Constantin Brancusi. The Brancusi Day is celebrated around the world, as part of the international cultural calendar. On this occasion, The Romanian Cultural Institute offices in Bucharest, Budapest, Chisinau, New York, Paris and Vienna, organize conferences, photo exhibitions, theatre and movie events, all dedicated to the works of the great Romanian Sculptor.

Official opening of the pilot project entitled "My successful career"

On February 28, 2017, ASE`s Faculty of Agrifood and Environmental Economics organizes the Official launch of the pilot Project entitled "My successful career", with the support of Carrefour Romania. The project comprises internships for 20 students and training courses delivered by experts from Cube Training during the second semester of the current academic year.

ASE`s students are internationally successful!

Student Simina Costea from ASE`s Faculty of Administration and Public Management is part of the team that has been selected for the semifinals of the Student Simulation Competition organized by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) headquartered in USA. Simina`s team won the regional stage of the contest hosted by United Nations University of Maastricht from The Netherlands. Congratulations! 


"Donate blood for life" - on March 7 - 8, 2017 in ASE!

On March 7-8, 2017, the Students` Union from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies - USASE organizes a blood donation campaign in the I. N. Angelescu Building between 8.30 - 12.30h. It only takes 10 minutes to contribute to saving 3 people`s lives! 


ASE`s Delegation`s visit to French universities

During March 5-10, 2017, ASE`s Delegation comprising PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, Rector, and PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International Relations, are visiting a series of french universities to consolidate inter-academic cooperation. On this occasion, they will sign the Strategic partnership agreement between ASE and the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts - CNAM Paris and discuss opportunities for cooperation in the fields of academic studies, research and liaison with the business environment. ASE`s Delegation will also visit Artois University in Arras to explore the possibility of developing double degree study programs. 


Signing of Strategic Partnership Agreement between ASE and CNAM Paris

On March 7, 2017, ASE`s Rector, PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor and the President of CNAM Paris, Mr. Oliver Faro, signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement between ASE and the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts from Paris, to consolidate the bilateral cooperation relations we have had in the last 25 years. After the ceremony, ASE`s Delegation participated in a workshop with the host representatives in charge with research, international relations, continuing professional development, computerization, liaison with enterprises and coordination of MBA programs. ASE`s Delegation`s visit to Artois University

ASE`s Delegation comprising PhD Prof. Nicolae Istudor, Rector, and PhD Prof. Constantin Marius Profiroiu, Vice-rector for International Relations, has visited Artois University in France and participated in a working meeting with  Prof. Pasquale Mammone, President of  Artois University and Prof. Philippe Duez, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics. On this occasion, the following issues were discussed: the stage of implementation of the partnership agreement between the two universities, the development of joint supervision programs for ASE`s Doctoral students, double degree programs, continuing professional development programs, and the continuation of student and staff exchange programs. 


Open Days at ASE: March 27-31, 2017

During March 27-31, 2017, The Bucharest University of Economic Studies welcomes its future candidates for a series of Open Days events, from 9 to 15h every day. Academic staff members and students are ready to answer any question regarding Admission procedures, the Educational offer for the 2017-2018 academic year, scholarships, study and accommodation facilities. Visitors can also go on guided tours on University premises, accompanied by volunteering students.

Participation in a Training Course in USA

During March 21 - April 8, 2017, PhD Prof. Marius Profiroiu, ASE`s Vice Rector for International Relations is attending the training course “Campus Internationalization: Structures that Support Student Mobility” hosted by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois. PhD Prof. Marius Profiroiu was invited by the EducationUSA Institutes as an initiative to engage with the US higher education sector in effective and sustained ways. Prof. Profiroiu will also deliver a speech on “Sustaining a Democratic Public Sector in an Era of Multiple Challenges and Constraints” at the Transatlantic Dialogues event.
